Sexual Abuse Interviews- A single location where the child tells his/her story to a caring, skilled interviewer. The atmosphere is caring, non-clinical and supportive of the child's real emotional needs.
Family Visitation- A place where children in foster care can visit with family members in a welcoming, child-friendly atmosphere.
Interagency Case Management- The coordination of services with other agencies assures the best use of resources for each client.
Emergency Assistance- Special help for families in crisis. Includes transportation, medicine, gas vouchers, diapers, etc. Individual counseling also provided in certain cases.
The Nurturing Program- An early intervention program aimed at stopping child abuse and neglect before it begins. Parenting classes are also offered to assist families feel more confident and competent about managing day to day life.
Baby Think It Over- Computerized babies given to all county High School freshman to take home for the weekend. Students must take care of baby's needs, write a journal, and plan a budget. Simulates what it would be like to be a teen parent.
